Dear Mr Manetas, > We are two artists who are running > a non profit exhibition project. The project is called CAC, Conceptual Art Centre > Centre Bukovje and the word "conceptual" is, so to say, the core > of the project. Bukovje is a small mountain village approximately one hour > car ride away from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The Centre is housed in a big family house that now doubles as home and International > Art Centre. CAC is an art centre as an idea. We however have a projector, > a flat screen TV, a bunch of computers and a couple of white walls. The > idea is to arrange events and exhibitions that melt together with the daily life. Screenings in the living room or in grandma’s apartment > on the ground floor, exhibitions in the studio and garden, etc. > The audience is so far not very big, but hopefully anyone who does show up get a special and homey > experience. During the exhibitions we are arranging events that we call "Teatime" where we are inviting curators and other art people > for tea/coffee and homemade pastry ... (we are putting to good use our skills in baking and knowing > people). The idea is to try to make something that is done on zero budget > on the countryside relevant through a mixture of relaxed, intimate atmosphere and strategic tricks. > We enjoy your work a lot and we would be thrilled if you could consider showing a couple of pieces at CAC Bukovje (it would take minimal effort from you). We are thinking of 3 of > your website works: Jesus Swimming, Supermario Sleeping, and Thank youAndy Warhol. All of which we of course could set up by ourselves. > With kindest regards > Nina Slejko & Conny > Blom
